FAQ

What causes sweating?

Sweating is an entirely natural, healthy process and your body’s way of responding to heat. You can read more about it in sweating – what is it and how does it affect people?  Some people, however, suffer from heavy or excessive sweating. This can be hereditary, a response to a particular medication or the symptom of an underlying disease and you can find out more about it in our article on heavy and excessive sweating. If you are in any way concerned by the amount you sweat, we recommend you consult your doctor.

How do deodorants work?

Deodorants contain substances that slow down the formation, and reduce the volume, of odor-producing bacteria (bacteriostasis). Deodorants also contain ingredients that absorb odor-forming substances. In doing so, they reduce body odor. Some deodorants also contain perfumes that work to mask unpleasant body odors.

Does Eucerin 24h Deodorant Sensitive Skin Pump Spray help with the symptoms of heavy or excessive sweating?

Eucerin’s Sensitive Skin deodorants are very effective at reducing odor, but they have not been designed specifically for heavy or excessive sweating. If you suffer from heavy sweating we recommend Eucerin 48h Anti- Transpirant Roll-On. If you experience excessive sweating try Eucerin 72h Anti-Transpirant Intensive Pump Spray.

Why is it important that the pump spray deodorant supports skin’s natural pH?

The pH scale measures how acidic or alkaline a substance is on a scale of 0-14. The higher the number, the lower the acidity. Skin is mildly acidic, with a pH value around 5. Eucerin’s 24h Deodorant Sensitive Skin Pump Spray also has a pH of 5 and helps to maintain skin’s natural balance. This supports skin’s barrier function making it more resistant to external irritants and reducing sensitivity.
