Bath time

“Monkey’s love to muck around in the bath or shower. But don’t stay in there too long, and use warm rather than hot water to keep your skin happy too.”

Cold comfort

“C-c-c- cold creams: they feel so good on your skin. Cool things down by keeping your favorite moisturizer in the fridge (don’t eat it!). And, if you want silky smooth skin like mine, don’t forget to cream up several times a day.”

Don’t scratch

“More cuddling and less scratching please. I know it’s hard, but scratching just makes it worse. Pop some socks on your hands and let’s play sock puppets instead.”

Itchy skin and allergens

Spot potential triggers

Allergens (such as pollen and pet hair) can trigger a reaction. The role food allergies play is less certain, but some parents link their child’s flare-ups to certain foods. Try keeping a record of anything that might make your child’s symptoms worse. Discuss any patterns with their doctor.
