Read more about our product

The skin on the soles of our feet has developed to be naturally thicker and harder than skin elsewhere on the body and is particularly susceptible to dryness. Feet are often subjected to the pressures and friction that come from hard surfaces or inappropriate footwear and these stresses can cause them, especially the heel pads, to dry out further. As an dry feet treatment the Eucerin UreaRepair 10% Urea Foot Foam gives very dry, rough feet the intense moisturization they need. It contains a unique combination of ingredients – 10% Urea, Ceramides and other Natural Moisturizers– which bind moisture in and repair skin's natural protective barrier to prevent further moisture loss. These work alongside Dexpanthenol and Decandiol, two active ingredients that feature prominently in foot care due to their ability to quickly regenerate skin and reduce the microorganisms responsible for fungal infections. As a proven result, the new foot foam increases the resilience of fungus sensitive feet. The formula has been clinically and dermatologically proven to deliver immediate relief and intense, long-lasting moisturisation, delaying dryness and roughness for up to 48 hours. Skin feels smooth again while thickened skin and callouses are reduced. The ultra-light foam texture is easy applied and quickly absorbed into skin for total convenience and comfort. The foam also has a pleasant scent uniquely developed for dry skin, creating a positive spa-like experience without the irritation that perfumed products can cause. The foot foam is ideal for those with aged and/or dry skin, and skin conditions such as xerosis, psoriasis and especially diabetes.

How to Use

Shake well before use. Hold upright while dispensing a small amount into your palm. Apply the foot moisturizer as often as needed to your feet. Avoid contact with eyes.

  • Urea

Urea (also known as Carbamide) is produced naturally by the skin and is part of the essential Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) which regulates skin’s moisture content. Urea is hygroscopic, which means it is able to bind moisture into the outermost layer of skin. It is also keratolytic, meaning helps the skin to get rid of dead skin cells dead skin cells, to make it smooth again, and has anti-itch and anti-microbial properties. As a result, it improves natural exfoliation and soothes and smoothes the skin’s surface. As a substance produced naturally by the skin, Urea is well-tolerated even by dry and sensitive skin. Because all of these effects and very good study data, Urea is the gold standard in treating of dry skin.*

  • Ceramides

Ceramides are important lipids in the hydrolipid film (which protects the external layers of skin). Produced naturally in healthy skin, they strengthen the skin barrier, helping to prevent moisture loss due to evaporation and keeping out irritants that can cause inflammation and itching. When skin’s Ceramide levels fall the skin barrier is impaired. Skin can start to lose water and become dry and irritated.

Eucerin uses synthetic Ceramides that are biologically-identical and that enhance skin’s natural barrier – locking in moisture and preventing dryness and irritation.

  • Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF)

Healthy skin contains Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) which attract and bind in water to the outermost layers of skin, helping to prevent it from drying out and becoming scaly and rough. The NMF present in skin include substances such as amino acids, inorganic salts, Lactate and Urea. The UreaRepair PLUS range replicates the natural composition of NMF in healthy skin, giving dry skin the substances it needs for optimal hydration.

  • Panthenol or Dexpanthenol

Panthenol and Dexpanthenol are two names commonly used for the same ingredient. Panthenol converts into Pantothenic Acid (a B Complex Vitamin) in the skin and enhances skin regeneration and repair. When applied regularly, it has been proven to considerably improve symptoms of skin irritation such as dryness, roughness, scaling and redness.

Panthenol/Dexpanthenol is also an effective moisturizer. It improves hydration in the outermost layers of the skin and helps to reduce transepidermal water loss.

FAQ

Why do I need a special moisturiser for my feet?

Our feet are particularly prone to dry skin which typically leads to problems such as calloused skin with corns and cracked heels. Wearing uncomfortable shoes can cause feet to develop pressure and friction marks. The skin on our feet is thicker than elsewhere on our bodies, which means it needs a rich and more intensive moisturiser.

How can I tell if I have dry skin, a skin condition or a skin disease?

You can find information about dry skin as well as conditions such as Atopic Dermatitis and Psoriasis on this website. You can also take our skin test to find out more about your skin type and condition and how best to care for it. If you are still unsure, or concerned about your symptoms, we recommend you ask a pharmacist or dermatologist for advice.
