Clears the skin and helps prevent blemishes
Clears the skin and provides intensive cleansing for the T-Zone and other problem areas. The formula with Lactic Acid gently clears pores, moisturises skin and prepares it so it can absorb the full benefits of your care product.
Eucerin DERMOPURE Facial Toner has been specially formulated for oily and blemish-prone skin and for those with mild to moderate adult acne. It is also suitable for all other forms of acne such as acne vulgaris. It clears the skin and prepares it for subsequent care.
The active antibacterial formula contains 2% Lactic Acid which unblocks pores, inhibits bacterial growth and prevents all types of blemishes without over drying the skin. It is particularly effective when used in the T-Zone and other problem areas.
Eucerin DERMOPURE Facial Toner can be used during pregnancy but should not be used by skin undergoing medical acne treatment.
Clinical and dermatological studies have confirmed the very good skin tolerability and effectiveness of the product in people with blemish- and acne-prone skin.
Toner (sometimes called ‘facial tonic’ or ‘facial water’) is used as a final step to facial cleansing. It refreshes your skin, purifies your pores, removes any last traces of cleanser and prepares your skin for the next step in your skincare routine.
Alcohol has proved its worth as an effective ingredient. It kills bacteria, reduces excess sebum and leave skin with a cool and pleasant astringent feeling. The concentration of alcohol used in this toner is proven not to dry out the skin.
We do not recommend the using the toner in combination with acne medication. If you like the refreshing feel of a toner, try the alcohol-free Eucerin DERMOPURE Micellar Water instead.
We’ve changed the fragrance, the name and the packaging. The active ingredients in the formula remain the same.
Eucerin DERMOPURE can help blemish-prone skin to recover, but you shouldn’t expect to see results overnight. The normal cycle for skin renewal takes about 28 days, and the more impurities there are in your skin, the longer it will take before you start seeing the results. Stick to your daily cleansing and care routine for at least eight weeks and you should start to see the benefits.
Tightness is often a sign of dry skin. If your skin feels like this it’s even more important to give it the care it needs – an intensive moisturiser that also protects skin from further moisture loss.
That depends. Many people who experience adolescent acne find that their skin problems heal as they get older, but for others the problems continue to develop and evolve into adult acne. Some people have no problems with their skin when they’re young but find that acne develops at a later stage. If this happens women in particular should consult a doctor as symptoms may well be linked to hormonal imbalances.
Micellar water is a cleanser, toner and make-up remover all in one intended for use when you need a quick and convenient cleansing solution. Toner is applied after using a dedicated cleanser such as Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel and prepares skin for moisturiser and other care products. Toner is particularly suitable for oily and blemish-prone skin as it feels refreshing.
Cleanse skin in the morning and evening:
Use gentle cleansing products such as Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel with lukewarm water and follow with an appropriate toner. You may also benefit from using a scrub once a week to unclog pores and refine skin texture.
We do not recommend using an alcohol-based toner and the scrub alongside acne medication as Isotretinoin, Benzoyl Peroxide and Antibiotics can make skin more sensitive. If you like the refreshing feel of a toner try the alcohol-free Eucerin DERMOPURE Micellar Water instead.
The care product you use depends on the severity of your acne and on the type of treatment you are undergoing.
If you are using medical treatment for acne, Eucerin DERMOPURE Adjunctive Soothing Cream helps to alleviate some of the symptoms such as intense dryness. It should be applied five minutes after your medication so the treatment can absorb fully.
If you have mild to moderate acne, but are not undergoing medical acne treatment, use a soothing and mattifying moisturiser such as Eucerin DERMOPURE Mattifying Fluid in the morning and evening.
For clearer and smoother-looking skin over time, you may also like to incorporate our skin renewal treatment into your routine. It is suitable for all blemish-prone skin that is not undergoing medical acne treatment and should be used once a day only − ideally in the evening. You can use it before the mattifying fluid or on its own.
Sun protection is an important step in your morning routine. Blemishes can cause pigmentation issues if over-exposed to the sun, and acne medications can make blemish-prone skin even more sensitive to UV rays. Eucerin Sun Gel-Creme Oil Control Dry Touch SPF30 and SPF50+ offers the levels of protection that your skin needs and should be applied before your cover-up and make-up. If you’re applying sun protection after a topical acne treatment wait five minutes to allow the treatment to fully absorb.
Cover blemishes and even out skin tone with foundation and/or a concealer. Choose products that are non-comedogenic (i.e. that will not block pores) and, ideally, ones that contain ingredients that work to improve the condition of blemish-prone skin. Be sure to remove all make-up before you go to bed.
